Seeking partners for an intimate relationship with Art!
The 8th annual Grand Prix of Art in Steveston is a go and we are inviting community stakeholders to partner with us again to bring this unique event to Steveston on September 22 and 23, 2018. Our “Community First” event requires primary support from our neighbours and community stakeholders, so here is how you can be involved:
Community Partner
Cash or In-Kind donation $5000 or more Contributions from our Community Partners come in many forms, from cash donations to inkind sponsorship, sponsoring live entertainment, marketing and promotions, branding major awards, or other specific contributions to the event. All Community Partners are recognized in our official event poster, guide, and event website, with dedicated links on social media campaigns.
Event Patron and Business Partners
As a “Community First” event we encourage participation from local businesses, organizations, and cultural patrons, and invite you to support the event by becoming a partner. Donations of cash, prizes, in-kind expertise or products can all make you a part of the largest outdoor painting competition in Canada. Individuals or companies who contribute in this category will be listed in our guide and on our website as a “Patron of the Event”. We would like to offer you the opportunity to sponsor and brand the following:
• Exhibition space
• Volunteer Event t-shirts
• Artist tote-bags/swag-bags
• Event Hats
• Youth Awards
• People’s Choice Award
Media Partners
If you are a local media outlet and want to get involved, we need help and support to promote the event and draw attention to local community arts. TV, Radio, or Print outlets are all welcome to discuss the possibility of a unique partnership and relationship with the arts.
Location Partners
If you are a local business or community group in Steveston, consider sponsoring one of the 40 painting locations. These locations in Steveston will host 150 artists from Garry Park to London Landing. Most painting locations are near the sponsoring business (where possible), with each location identified with an event flag. Location Partners will be recognized in our guide, event website, and social media campaigns designed for a truly interactive visitor experience.
Volunteers
One of the most rewarding achievements as an organizer of these events has been the enthusiastic and overwhelming support from community members helping with everything from serving lunches and hanging artwork to marketing and organization. In past years we have been fortunate to attract the 50 volunteers required to deliver this community first event.
